Your new company
Hays Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with an Ofsted rated "Good" school in the Runcorn area as they are looking for a Year 1 class teacher to start after the May half-term. The school has a Teacher that is leaving the school after the half-term and are in need of a confident and enthusiastic teacher to cover the rest of the academic year.

Your new role
In your new role as the year 1 class teacher you will be teaching a single form entry class and-manage all aspects of learning materials, including the planning, preparation and delivery of stimulating and inclusive lessons in line with the national curriculum and the school's values. You will engage with your new students and monitor their behaviours in a variety of ways by incorporating Behaviour for Learning methods and differentiating learning material to best suit attainment needs. You will also work alongside the teaching assistant and other colleagues to promote student engagement.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role you must have a PGCE/Bachelors Degree in Primary Education (ECT status will be considered) as well as referenceable experience working within a primary school. You will also need the ability to:

  • Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Assess pupil progress and deliver feedback
  • Create a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Support students with their social and emotional development
