Summary
The Salisbury Arms Hotel is set in an iconic 18th-century building in the centre of the historic town of Hertford, this traditional hotel Has recently undergone a transformational refurbishment. Our award-winning designers have restored the listed building to its original beauty, with an addition of a stunning garden terrace for alfresco drinking and dining all year round, a private dining room and incredible period features. All accompanied by locally sourced menus, premium wines and of course, our locally brewed beers.
We are looking for enthusiastic Night Porters to make sure our guests are well looked after.

Key Responsibilities of a Night Porter
- Consistently offers professional, friendly, and engaging service.
- Manage all guest late check-in’s and early check outs
- Showing guests to the rooms and explaining facilities
- Help guests carrying luggage to and from their rooms
- Looking after keys and left luggage
- Answering all out off hour calls from guests and contractors
- Dealing alone with problems arising in the night; if necessary transferring guests into a different room
- Bottling up both bars
- Cleaning all front of house areas
- In event of emergency ensuring all guests are safely evacuated
- Maintaining the security of the premises
