Summary

Saturday Shop Assistant

QEF Retail Trading has a network of retail shops throughout Surrey and Middlesex that sell a wide range of donated goods (branded clothing, household Items, soft furnishings, furniture, toys & games) all at inexpensive prices to raise funds for QEF. Each shop is Managed by the shop manager and supported by area managers, with a wonderful team of volunteers. The role of the assistant is to deputise in the manager’s absence.

Job Purpose
Our Chessington Childrens Shop specializes in all thing Childrens, from Clothing to equipment, toys and games.
You would be working closely with the shop manager, undertaking specific duties as requested and deputising in his/her absence

About the role
• A high standard of presentation in the shop will need to be maintained, ensuring that regular rotation of stock is carried out in line with our current procedures.
• All daily administrative duties and cash handling procedures would need to be achieved in accordance with our procedures.
• The safety of our team and that of the customers is paramount. You will have E learning for the Health & Safety of our team and yourself, with refresher courses.
• Your service to the customers and our valued donators will be second to none.
• You will be required to comply with all current legislation, organisational policies & procedures, and promotions.

• Previous experience of charity shop retail is desirable.
