Soft FM Services are responsible for cleaning and portering services to the university’s academic, administrative, and residential estate. Soft FM facilitates all university key events, such as graduation and open days and ensures areas are prepared for other events such as receptions and summer conferences.

Duties of the Role

Soft FM Services is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Housekeeper to join our busy team.

During term time our Housekeepers provide cleaning services within student accommodation, cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and communal areas. During summer months we provide a hotel style service for conference guests.

We have a range of accommodation types, including shared facilities, en-suite and self-contained.

On a day to day basis, your duties will include but not be limited to the following;

- Cleaning communal areas of the residential buildings
- Clean bedrooms including en-suite shower/toilet areas after occupancy
- Move furniture and soft furnishings during and after cleaning as necessary
- Report any defects or repairs

You must have previous cleaning experience and the ability to undertake domestic cleaning to a high standard with good communication skills, a positive attitude to delivering good customer service and a flexible approach to work.

Working Pattern

The current working pattern being Monday to Thursday 9am to 2pm and Friday 9am to 1pm, however in the interests of working efficiency the University may from time to time review current working patterns.

Due to the nature of the role, it is essential you can fulfil the staff vetting requirements in respect of University Positions of Trust.
