Are you a qualified Social Worker with Children’s experience looking for your next role?

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen within the Milton Keynes CAMHS team based at Eaglestone Health Centre on the hospital campus.

The service are looking to appoint a Mental Health Practitioner from a Social Work background with experience of working with children and adolescents. The post holder will work closely with the multi disciplinary team supporting colleagues with discharge and care co-ordination of patients who have been admitted to inpatient units ensuring that the young person is at the heart of the care planning,.

The role will involve representing the service at key stakeholder meetings which will require the ability to form close working relationships with police, local authority, commissioning, voluntary care sector and other providers. The post holder will also hold a small caseload of complex patients who require short term support.

This is an incredibly varied role with a high level of autonomy to manage own workload and make clinical decisions with the young persons best interests at the fore front.

As a Mental Health Practitioner (Social Worker) you will be working across Milton Keynes CAMHS providing social work assessment and intervention requiring high level professional skill to children and young people accessing the service.

The post holder will work closely with the Safeguarding Children Team within Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust providing advice and guidance to the wider Milton Keynes CAMHS team whilst also offering advice, guidance and consultation to professionals within CAMHS regarding social care eligibility and care pathways.

Actively support and monitor children, young people and their families for children in an inpatient provision, ensuring a comprehensive package of care post discharge in conjunction with the nominated lead professional within CAMHS.
