Early Years Training and Improvement Officer (CS1528)

Permanent Post – Term Time

Grade J £43,252 - £46,802

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and enthusiastic early years practitioner to the post of Training & Improvement Officer.

Working with key stakeholders and practitioners in settings, you will drive forward key local and national priorities in early learning and childcare in Falkirk.

You will be required to work autonomously and under your own initiative. You should be credible and confident in the role having demonstrable and proven success in delivering improvement in an early years setting.

The duties of the post are varied and include quality assurance and self-evaluation. You will also be knowledgeable and capable across the areas of:

  • Parent and family support.
  • Leadership and management.

To apply for the post, you should be qualified to degree level with a BA Childhood Practice (or equivalent) and possess the following professional attributes:

In-depth early years pedagogical knowledge.

  • Proven ability to lead change and improvement within and across early years settings.
  • Proven ability in the use of data to inform improvement and leadership of change.
  • Experience of working effectively with a wide range of stakeholders to bring about improvement.
  • Experience of planning and delivering career-long professional learning sessions to colleagues.
  • Experience of project leadership.
  • Evidence of commitment to own career-long professional learning.
