Summary

Weston College Group has secured a long-term education contract at HMP Five Wells located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. We are seeking to recruit an outstanding and highly motivated Cover Lecturer to join our team in Education.


This is a full time role, working 37 hours per week.


Day to day duties of the role

To deliver a high-quality curriculum delivering a variety of courses as led by the Restart management team.
Developing and maintaining a full course file including comprehensive scheme of learning and lesson planning.
Developing and completing ILPs and contextual statements to monitor individual learner progress.
Preparation, assessment and marking.

Required skills and qualifications

A Degree, or professional qualification, which is appropriate to the work.
All candidates for teaching posts must possess a recognised Teaching Qualification or be prepared to gain within the first two years of service, with the assistance of the College.
Knowledge and experience of current teaching and learning strategies
Excellent team working, communication and interpersonal skills

In partnership with G4S, RESTART (part of the Weston College Group) has been awarded the prestigious contract to establish the education department in the newly built state-of-the-art prison, HMP Five Wells. RESTART provides exceptional opportunities for residents to gain nationally recognised qualifications, in preparation for securing purposeful employment upon release.

HMP Five Wells is a privately run category C men's prison located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. At full capacity the prison can house 1,680 residents, making it one of the largest prisons in the UK.
