Summary

About The Role
To manage, retain and improve the current contract service delivery with the aim of site expansion. To ensure that the team is developed to meet succession planning needs. To be flexible in your working patterns and work on a rotational basis alongside the current Management Team.

You will be working on a variable shift pattern, on a permanent full-time basis, 07:00 to 23:00, 40 hours per week.

You will also:

  • Manage the delivery of all services in your specific area to provide consistently high levels of performance that meet contractual obligations to customers and the strategic objectives of the client.
  • To ensure that appropriate staffing levels are maintained with the necessary skills and provide all necessary training and development to ensure their competence in their respective in line with the OCS Payroll & HR procedures and site requirements
  • Work with customer representatives to address any specific requirements or concerns.
  • Take an active part with Sports facility Management in ensuring all OCS staff understand the objectives of the Stadium and Training ground and the ethos of the Sports club going forward.
  • Produce monthly reports for the client, to fall in line with the KPIs in place for cleaning and to carry out 'Tool Box Talks' to your staff on a monthly basis and report and record all events on the company Management Information System.
  • Ensure that a safe working environment is maintained through compliance with all company health and safety policies and procedures
  • To participate fully in any activities, including opportunities for networking that raise the profile of OCS. Some activities are outside normal office hours.
  • Liaise with OCS and site internal and external statutory bodies to ensure compliance with OCS and industry regulations with particular emphasis on ISO quality systems and health & safety.
  • Support the operation and development of the site Waste Strategy in line with client expectations and targets and ISO delivery
  • Participate in any communication activities through formal and informal channels on safety matters to ensure that there is a free flow of ideas
  • Ensure that you have received the necessary training so that you can competently carry out your duties and responsibilities. Acknowledge and accept personal responsibility for the safety of you, your staff, client staff, tenants, and all service users.
  • To take ownership of the Health & Safety plan for security and cleaning. Attend all H&S meetings held by the Client when requested to do so and report all issues to your staff on a timely basis.

To succeed in this role you will need:

  • Highly literate and numerate (essential)
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook to a high standard
  • Understand budgets and basic accounts
  • BICS/Impact qualified or equivalent (OCS will train if not)
  • Holds IOSH or NEBOSH Certification (OCS will train if not)
  • Knowledge of other soft services and experience in a similar delivery is preferred
  • Waste management and environment experience to an ISO9001/14001 level is desirable.
Experience:
  • Experience of managing an event-service contract.
  • Proven track record in delivering effective customer service whilst maintaining appropriate operating margins.
  • Evidence of "hands-on" operational experience and a track record of successful client relationship management.
  • Proven record of managing, motivating, developing and retaining a workforce.
  • Preferable skills to have worked with and motivated casual workers in a difficult work place with peaks of activity
