Summary

Project Support 1. Supporting the Project Manager, Workstream/Programme Manager, working closely with all members of the Cancer Alliance team, to support the Cancer Champion programmes priorities and associated projects (including the Reward and Referral Scheme). 2. To be responsible for supporting delivery of the Cancer Champion programme and associated projects through its duration. This will include: a. Updating, monitoring and reporting of agreed project plans, action plans and project dashboards as appropriate. Maintaining project folders, files and records including highlight reports and risk monitoring. b. Support the wider SYB Cancer Alliance PMO processes. c. Support all programme related meetings, including any agreed task and finish groups with; minute taking, action planning and communication with meeting attendees as required. d. Using own initiative to oversee elements of the programme planning. e. Proactively maintain programme documentation, ensuring documentation is managed as per Cancer Alliance standards and version control is utilised when updating/sharing documents. f. Coordinate, facilitate and deliver Cancer Early Diagnosis training provision (which may be virtual or face to face within any area of South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw). g. Support the external evaluation partner as appointed by Yorkshire Cancer Research. 3. Take on leadership of specific tasks and project elements and ensure these are delivered to time, to a high standard and within the budget. Communications and key relationships 4. Managing communications with service user representatives in collaboration with the SYB Cancer Alliance Engagement and Communications Team and as per the agreed Communications and Engagement plan with Yorkshire Cancer Research. 5. Effecting communication with internal systems and external partners regarding updates, initiatives and meetings to ensure understanding of timescales, key messages and project plan. a. Providing communication updates to the Cancer Alliance Communication and Engagement Team, including e-bulletin, newsletters, social media assets and documentation for the Cancer Alliance website. b. Assisting in the development of presentations for internal/external communication or education purposes. 6. Working closely with the Programme Managers to persuade and encourage stakeholders from across the footprint to engage with the Cancer Alliance teams work and communicate with a wide-ranging set of internal and external stakeholders to ensure priorities are delivered to agreed timescales as monitored via agreed governance routes. Data, analysis, and resources 7. Support the allocation of resources and funding across the Cancer Alliance in conjunction with the IED Programme Manager, as required. 8. Support Business Intelligence as required to collect data and evaluation information against defined metrics which measure impact of the Programme. Interpretation of complex information from a variety of sources to support development of programme schedules and to present data in an easy and logical way. 9. Support SY ICB Finance colleagues as required regarding Programme budget. Personal responsibilities 10.To undertake in-service training relevant to the post. 11.To comply with the organisations policies and procedures including maintaining compliance with mandatory training requirements. Physical responsibilities 12. The post holder will be required to travel to locations within South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw to meet the needs of the Cancer Alliance work programme.
