Summary

Personal Assistants required for active lady with Progressive Multiple Sclerosis to support independent living in her own home in Whittington, Worcester, WR5.

Positions available:
Senior Carer: Monday - Friday position (08:00 - 17:00 / 08:00 - 18:00)

Evening / Night position (17:00 - 08:00 / 18:00 - 08:00, Monday - Thursday & 17:00 - 21:00 Friday)

Saturday position (Flexible 8 - 10 hour shift with extra hours for days out & occasional weekends away.)

A support worker position is also available - please enquire for more information if interested.

These positions are initially offered on a 1 year contract with a view to the role becoming permanent for the right person.

Rates of pay:
Senior Carer (Monday - Friday position): Minimum £12.50/hour with potential increase to £13/hour based on experience.

Evening / Night position: £12/hour until midnight, £11.44/hour overnight.

Saturday position: £12/hour, £11.44/hour for occasional overnights.

Candidate requirements:
Medical care experience is preferred due to the complexity of the clients needs, particularly for the Senior Carer position which holds additional responsibilities.

The personal assistants must be flexible, reliable, trustworthy and respectful as the position is based in the clients own home.

The personal assistants need to be proactive and capable of managing day to day tasks independently. Excellent time management & organisation is essential. It is important to be patient & willing to support decision making, have a sense of humour and a general positive outlook to improve the clients quality of life.

These are varied and rewarding roles with a focus on health and wellbeing during the daytime and a focus on lifestyle and social activities during the evening/ weekends. Common interests such as gardening, nature/bird-watching, travel, painting, film/ theatre, gym/yoga, spa, reading/audiobooks and days out would be advantageous to an applicant, especially for evenings/ weekends. A candidate with experience of small animals i.e: cats and dogs would be preferable and who wishes to support the client to care for her pets.

It is essential that candidates have a clear and concise level of written and spoken English due to medical record keeping.

Drivers are essential as part of this post and must hold a clean driving licence.
