An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital Heart Assessment Team for an Expert/Advanced Practitioner Clinical Exercise Physiologist . This is a part time role of 15 hours per week to be worked between Monday and Friday. The role will be based at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital however there may be the need to work cross site at Princess Royal Hospital (Telford) to provide training and guidance.

The post holder will provide robust clinical leadership to the Heart Assessment Team in the re-establishment and continued delivery of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Exercise and Education Programme. This will be achieved through excellent communication skills and influencing, motivating and inspiring other to delver high quality care. This includes responding to national initiatives and advising on appropriate clinical and professional strategy relating to cardiac rehabilitation services within Cardiology.

Providing senior professional leadership, the post holder will be responsible for the patient experience and the delivery of high quality cardiac rehabilitation services to all cardiac patients referred into the service, ensuring efficient and effective management of all resources in order to deliver safe and effective patient care in an environment of continuous improvement.

The post holder will demonstrate a high level of expertise within the service providing specialist advice, education and support to staff and patients ensuring the effective implementation of local and national guidelines promoting best evidence based practice.
