Our client is a market leader in their field and currently looking to recruit a number of Production Operatives to strengthen their team due to an ongoing business demand.
Key responsibilities:
• Ensure Good Manufacturing Practice, Food safety and allergen procedures are followed at all times.
• Ensure you operate ‘clean as you go’ and carry out any other hygiene duties as directed by your supervisor.
• To read and understand instruction (written and/or verbal), follow recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) accurately.
• To ensure that documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Actively work towards a zero level of complaints for your area and work to a ‘Right first time’ policy.
• To work to Company objectives of minimal waste, maximum efficiency, conserving energy where possible and if appropriate switching machines off when not in use.
• Allocation of staff to ensure all Goods In daily activities are covered including correct storage, rotation/movement, GMP tasks & PI Counts.
• Ensure staff are trained and adhere to the correct procedures for Goods In.
• Ensure the correct usage of current and future Warehouse Management systems are fully updated with stock accuracy, inventory control & location accuracy.
• Monitor timekeeping, attendance, productivity, and performance of staff including performance reviews, leading by example, and communicating effectively with them.
• Liaise internally with Buying, Customer Services, Production, Transport colleagues and with supplier/haulier drivers.
• Adhere to all technical and quality procedures and work instructions of the company and ensure staff are trained and performing relevant procedures/work instructions.
• Enforce site security controls for staff, visitor, and food safety.
• Oversee, all yard activities including recycling and waste disposal.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines and ensure staff are trained and performing relevant procedures and work instructions.
• To undertake training as required.
• Be able to work well within a team.
Key requirements:
• Must be a team player, with the ability to work unsupervised
• Forklift truck license – Counterbalance & Reach truck.
• Excellent attention to detail is beneficial for this role
• Able to follow instructions
• Good attitude
• Must have a good level of the English language
• Previous experience working in a supervisory role within a food warehouse environment.
• Computer literate in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel. Experience of using Warehouse Management systems is advantageous.

You must be able to work full-time as there is limited flexibility. You will be allocated a shift that you will follow.
