The School:

The role:
This role will act as a mentor to students in our Post-16 to raise aspirations and achievement. The post holder will be responsible for monitoring, reviewing and reporting on student progress and act a first point of contact with households for students in reference to academic issues. The role will supervise Post-16 study rooms and ensure a positive and productive environment.

The person:
The successful candidate will ideally have experience of mentoring or coaching young people. Experience of liaising with parents and external agencies would be advantageous but not essential, however the post holder must hold the skills to communicate effectively and appropriately with people of varying ages.
The role would suit a candidate who has recent experience of studying within the education system and knowledge of study skills and academic systems. There will be training provided on both aspects.
