Summary

Join the Skills for Success Multiply team in Pembrokeshire as our Performance & Quality Manager.

We're looking for someone with expertise in skills initiatives and curriculum delivery, with the ability to work with awarding bodies to accredit vocational qualifications.

Multiply is a nationwide numeracy project funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, designed to enhance adults' numeracy skills. It empowers them to attend free numeracy courses, develop confidence in numeracy, improve budgeting, assist children with homework, and expand job opportunities, including the potential to achieve qualifications like GCSE or Functional/Essential Skills. The emphasis is on innovative approaches to equip adults without GCSE or Level 2 math qualifications, boost their number skills, and provide support before qualification courses.
As the Performance & Quality Manager, your role includes overseeing the implementation of the Futureworks vocational skills project for the Multiply project. You'll also assist in preparing bids for successor projects to replace the Shared Prosperity Fund.

Your main responsibility is designing and developing a vocational numeracy project up to Level 2, coaching and teaching adult learners (19+) to maximize their educational, vocational, and personal development. Collaboration with existing teams is crucial, covering curriculum, delivery, and employer/partner engagement.

Your key tasks and responsibilities involve:

Creating a marketing strategy and activities for the Skills for Success project, including recruitment targets for project beneficiaries.
Ensuring that all beneficiary documentation, enrolments, and outcomes meet grant funding requirements.
Managing the delivery of numeracy curriculum on the Skills for Success Multiply project.
Leading the development, planning, and implementation of new numeracy curriculum, as well as teaching initiatives in collaboration with awarding bodies.
Providing curriculum and subject leadership to the course team, including acting as an IQA/moderator for accredited qualifications. You'll also be expected to teach for a small number of hours a week across various courses.
Coordinating Skills Advisers and support staff to keep them informed about all curriculum-related matters, including scheme of work preparation, lesson planning, and learning and teaching developments.
Desirable qualifications for this role include the ability to use technology to enhance learning and a recognized adult teaching qualification.
Taking responsibility for the delivery and management of the Futureworks vocational numeracy skills project for Multiply, ensuring the project stays on target and in line with audit requirements.
Supporting the setup of vocational skills processes and the recruitment of curriculum delivery staff with numeracy/math expertise.
Line management of project staff, Skills Advisers, and administrative support staff, fostering a team of Skills Advisers/Assessors.
Managing and overseeing various aspects of the project to provide a range of vocational skills opportunities to participating beneficiaries (individuals and businesses).
Acting as the centre coordinator, collaborating with various awarding bodies (e.g., City & Guilds, EAL, Lantra, OCR, Cache).
Providing close monitoring and reporting of all project activities in line with project requirements.
Ensuring accurate and timely claims for funding with the required supporting documentation.
Working closely with external stakeholders and other organizations to promote and add value to the project.
Demonstrating a full understanding of funding guidelines and providing assistance to others on the subject when required.
Establishing strong relationships and engaging successfully with external partners and colleagues.
Collaborating with other Project Managers and teams within the Council to ensure a high standard of skills and business provision.
Maintaining the CRM with up-to-date relevant information for reporting requirements.

Essential Skills and Experience:
Educated to degree level or equivalent.
Experience and understanding of delivering vocational curriculum and accredited qualifications.
TAQA/awarding body quality assurance experience is an advantage.
Proven contract and project management knowledge and experience.
Excellent staff coaching, development, and management skills.
Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of skills requirements in Tourism, Energy, Land-based/Heritage sectors and the barriers to business growth.
Experience and expertise in managing budgets.
Authority and credibility to build strong relationships and engage successfully with external partners and colleagues.
