Summary

Stamping Unit (Press Shop) Multi Skilled Maintenance in CH65, Ellesmere Port

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Ellesmere Port, CH65 for a well-established car manufacturer in the area and is looking to expand its Stamping Unit. HNC or ONC qualification required.

We are currently looking to recruit Multi Skilled Maintenance to work in the Stamping Unit at the Manufacturing Site on a Full-Time, ongoing position.

Pay Rate : from £18.60 / hour to £20.70 / hour - Expected 37.5 hours / week

The shifts will be rotational between days and nights on a weekly basis ie one week you will work a Friday and Saturday nightshift (18:00 to 06:00), the following week you will work a Saturday and Sunday dayshift (06:00 to 18:00) and the ability to work two 6.75hr shifts during the week, days to be agreed with suitable candidate.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Automotive outer sheet metal ( Skin panel ) Draw dies, line dies and automation equipment
• Skin panel punch repair & surface preparation experience
• Previous experience of new die try out experience & surface quality improvement
• Welding experience Hard & soft facing of trim steels T.I.G – M.I.G
• A sound knowledge of Press Line operation & associated equipment is advantageous
• Fanuc Robot, Programming & set-up advantageous
• Understanding of Hydraulic & Pneumatic circuits advantageous
• Electrical & Mechanical background advantageous
• Sound interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A high level of self-motivation and tenacity

The main responsibilities and role requirements are as follows:

• Reactive die maintenance to quality issues.
• Performing planned die maintenance tasks.
• Support the production teams during production runs.
• Systematic problem solving for repetitive issues/faults.
• CIP – apply continuous improvement process.
