We are looking for a patient focused, self-driven, motivated and dynamic Oncology Manager to lead the team at our Nuffield Hospital in Tunbridge Wells.

The post holder will manage the day to day running of the Oncology Unit and also provide clinical expertise and a significant presence to other areas of the hospital such as outpatients and diagnostic imaging.

The successful candidate will provide operational leadership and management within the unit. The post holder will promote effective governance and ensure that the highest standard of clinical care is delivered.

This role is diverse and will encompass both strategic and operational elements of cancer treatment. The team are very well established and competent in all aspects of service delivery.

Our Macmillan accredited Oncology unit currently runs Monday to Thursday and treats patients from a variety of specialties. The main specialties within the department are Breast, Upper Gastrointestinal, Colorectal and Haematology.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant difference to the department and its patients.

As a Oncology Manager, you will have:

  • A current NMC registration
  • An accredited SACT administration course
  • Excellent knowledge of UKONS and a current UKONS passport, or willingness to undertake
  • Clinical skills in Venepuncture, Cannulation, CVAD access and administration of IV drugs
  • A wide and evidenced based knowledge in systemic anti-cancer treatments
