Summary

A Vacancy at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.


The main duties are as follows:
• Assisting with nursing care as instructed by the nursing staff, including bathing, bed making, assisting with eating and drinking and helping with meals as necessary.
• Assisting with the administration of medication under the supervision of a qualified nurse and in line with trust policies.
• Assisting with patient toileting and elimination.
• Caring for the patients personal clothing, property and valuables in accordance with trust policies.
• Assisting with the moving and handling of patients and loads, using the correct moving and handling aids and techniques in accordance with local guidelines and risk assessments.
• Ensuring that patient privacy and dignity is respected at all times.

We are seeking enthusiastic Medical Assistants at Band 3 level to join our Emergency Department team.

In this post, you will work with all types of patients, including trauma patients, paediatric patients and adult. You should have extensive experience working with patients, and in the ED you will gain extended skills such as cannulation and plastering.
