Summary

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen within our friendly Medical Directorate here at Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust. We are looking to recruit for the position of Executive Assistant to the Medical Director. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to progress as a senior administrator or to expand their knowledge of how the Medical Directorate runs within an NHS Trust.

You must hold a full valid driving licence and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes – including business insurance – is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

This is a busy, varied role in which the postholder will work autonomously, exercising judgment and initiative, with excellent written and verbal skills, whilst confidently managing and maintaining complex electronic diaries and making informed judgements based on the understanding of the competing demands of the Medical Director’s role.

A knowledge and confident ability to use technology to support hybrid meetings is essential.

Some understanding about the doctor’s revalidation process would be beneficial but not essential and training on this will be available.

The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to priorities workload, appointments, and engagements. Will have strong evidence of their ability to work proactive and will have a calm, professional and flexible approach to this rewarding but demanding role.

In return, we can offer you:
• 5% on top of basic salary high-cost allowance supplement
• 27 days holiday rising to 33 days (depending on NHS Trust service) plus bank holidays (pro rata where applicable)
• One of the UK's best pension schemes
• Special Leave for family and personal reasons
• NHS Car Lease Scheme (for substantive staff)
• Eye Care Vouchers
• Employee Assistance Programme
• NHS Discounts
