Summary


Pharmacy Technician – Band 6.

37.5hours – Mon to Friday

This is a unique opportunity for the right person to join our team providing the OUH NHS Foundation Trust with a high quality medicines supply service.

This role is central to the performance of the unit, and the successful individual must possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, as well as having a self motivated and positive demeanour, be able to cope with changing demands and be able to work under pressure.

You need to be an experienced qualified Pharmacy Technician and be up for a challenge with a steep learning curve

Duties include but are not limited to:

· Working with suppliers to improve services for the OUH

· Ensuring medicines are ordered and received in a timely manner to meet demand

· Sourcing new medicines from suppliers to meet with new demand and to support supply problems

· Working with Technicians and Pharmacists across all sites to provide information relating to status of products

· Supporting the Medicines Effectiveness team with Formulary and Saving initiatives

· Ensuring that the Pharmacy system is updated with new contract information

· Supplying information relating to shortages of medicines to support decision making in weekly shortages meetings
