Summary
Job description
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold care home linens and resident laundry according to established procedures
- Operate commercial laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and ironing machines
- Inspect linens for stains, tears, or damage and report any issues to the supervisor
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
- Previous experience working in a care home laundry or similar setting is preferred
- Familiarity with commercial laundry equipment and processes is essential
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
