IPS Disability Employment Specialist

Get Set for Making a Difference to People’s Lives
We support people to make positive changes in their lives. Our creative, tailored solutions improve people’s skills, and provide guidance, motivation and confidence, job opportunities, and training to help them progress towards a better future. Underpinned by our experienced team, effective processes, strong community presence and established employer and partner relationships, we help drive people and businesses forward to a better tomorrow.

Right now we are looking to recruit IPS Disability Employment Specialists across the Surrey area.

You'll take on the rewarding challenge of managing a caseload of individuals, aiding them in navigating the hurdles to secure and sustain gainful employment. Employing the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model, you will deliver bespoke advice and build strategic partnerships with local businesses, ensuring our clients transition smoothly into meaningful employment. You'll become an integral part of their recovery journey, advocating for improved health and wellbeing, all while embedded within the heart of primary care, community teams, and the broader network.

And don’t worry! If you have employment services experience but not specifically IPS then we can train you when you join us.
Every day with us is an opportunity to touch lives, inspire change, and contribute to a society where everyone gets a fair chance to shine.

YOUR IMPACT:
• The role involves empowering clients with personalized, practical support tailored to their employment aspirations. This includes conducting organizational needs assessments and identifying best working practices for adults with learning disabilities and neurodiverse individuals.
• Collaborating with partners, to organize workshops for employers that focus on integrating employees effectively.
• Delivering workshops for community employers to enhance their understanding of hiring and working with special needs adults, including Access to Work, Reasonable Adjustments, and the Disability Confident Employer Award.
• Maintaining effective relationships with employers by offering constant business support and guidance to optimize internal processes for integrating staff with disabilities.
• Working closely with employers to identify, structure, and recommend recruitment and training solutions to meet specific needs, including job carving/creation, offering intervention measures, providing advice on inclusive recruitment practices, and exploring options to increase skills and confidence.
• Additionally, the role involves improving attitudes towards people with disabilities and promoting good practice examples, ensuring awareness of communication needs, offering constructive feedback to improve processes, and delivering high-quality service in line with Get Set UK's values and operational principles.

WHO WE SEEK:
• Individuals with a robust understanding of the barriers faced by those with health conditions.
• Proactive, outcome-oriented professionals experienced in supporting diverse client needs.
• Competent navigators of complex tasks, who can confidently influence and guide others towards positive results.
• Team players equipped with exceptional communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills, ready to drive our mission forward.
• People that are ready to learn and develop as and IPS Employment Specialist.

OUR PROMISE TO YOU:
We're here to support you as much as you support our clients. Our mission is clear: to empower, ignite opportunities, support resilience, and nurture career success for everyone.
Our workplace is dynamic, committed, encouraging, and empathetic. We believe in fostering an environment that is not just about professional growth but also personal well-being. As part of the Get Set UK team, you'll enjoy:
• Competitive salaries that appreciate your hard work and dedication.
• Comprehensive pension schemes designed for your future security.
• Healthcare packages that prioritise your well-being.
• Gym memberships to support your physical health and mental clarity.
• An inclusive employee forum where your voice is heard and valued.
• Continuous training and development opportunities to help you grow and succeed.
We are proud to be part of a team that supports local people, across local communities. Our services are developed and delivered to a standard that sets us apart from the crowd!
