Summary

We are thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity to join our Apprenticeship Team at Weymouth College! We are seeking an experienced Apprenticeship Training Co-ordinator or industry professional with a background in Electrical Installation Services.

As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in forming strong connections with apprentices and employers, you will be responsible for supporting excellent training and mentorship to apprentices to help them achieve their chosen qualification in work placement placements around the Dorset area. This will include setting personalised learning plans to motivate and inspire apprentices to achieve and progress onto higher levels of study and/or career progression. There will be a requirement to conduct workplace assessments to monitor development and generating evidence to assist with the Gateway and End Point Assessment requirements.

We are now looking for enthusiastic and efficient individuals with recent commercial experience within the Electrical industry, who are keen to share their skills and knowledge whilst learning new skills themselves. Flexible and adaptable, the successful candidate will be able to work on their own initiative to support other industry sectors dependent on requirements within our Apprenticeship Team. This role is varied and ideal for someone looking for a new challenge with a passion for lifelong learning and development of others. In addition to the advertised salary scale, there is an additional skills adjustment available for candidates with qualifications and commercial experience in Electrical Installation.

A collaborative team player, you will be able to quickly build strong and effective relationships across the College as well as demonstrating good organisational skills. We are keen to hear from you if you have a flexible approach to work. You will not need to be teacher or assessor trained or have any formal educational experience as the College will support you to develop the necessary skills or undertake relevant qualifications.
