Summary

This a fixed term post for one year. We will consider applications for full or part time working, subject to being able to deliver the overall team capacity required.

We are seeking applicants, with excellent communication and analytical skills to join a team of officers whose role is to plan and review education and childcare provision in Cambridgeshire for children and young people in the 0-19 age range and up to the age of 25 for those with special educational needs and disability (SEND), including the commissioning of new provision.

The successful applicant will work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders (including schools, governing bodies, Early Years (EY) providers, childminders, developers and planners) to ensure that the Council meets its statutory place planning duties, with a particular focus on developing provision in response to the expansion of government-funded early years entitlements.

Applicants need to be educated to degree level or equivalent and be able to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework governing the provision of early years (EY) and childcare places and school places for children and young people, including those with SEND, in the 0-25 age range.

More information can be found in the attached job description.

Interviews will be held at Sunley Centre, Papworth Everard, CB23 3RG on Wednesday 22nd May 2024.
