Our products, including isolators, laminar airflow cabinets and microbiological safety cabinets, are used to prepare chemotherapy treatments for cancer patients, discover new therapies for Alzheimer’s or test samples in hospitals. We are currently looking for a skilled mechanical fitter to join us in Heywood working within a growing team.
As a Skilled Mechanical Fitter, you will be tasked with assembling patient critical equipment to the medical/pharmaceutical industry including a variety of isolators for chemotherapy drug distribution such as microbiological safety cabinets, rigid isolators (gloveboxes) , Laminar airflow cabinets and Fume Cupboards.

Your role includes:
• Using static machinery, battery powered tools including drills and general hand tools.
• Assembling a full range of metalwork enclosure products manufactured by the company.
• Some travel to work at client sites across the UK, to fit and install the products.

What we are looking for.
The ideal candidate should come from a strong mechanical background, preferably be familiar with working to a very hight standards in the aerospace, nuclear, medical, or pharmaceutical sectors.
• It’s essential to have previous mechanical assembly experience.
• Ideally (but not essential) you will have a City & Guilds, NVQ 3 or equivalent
• You will be required to travel to do ad-hoc installation work and will require a valid driver’s licence (company vehicle is supplied for work purposes).
• Experience in working with and understanding detailed drawings.
• Previous experience of working to processes and defined quality systems.
• Working to high levels of accuracy and standards of finish.
• To be able to work independently and as part of a team.
