Summary
A leading Tier One contractor requires a Works Manager for a 36 Months project in Wareham Dorset. The project is on the Environmental Agency framework.
You will report to the Project Manager throughout the scheme and will manage the subcontractor's Foreman to ensure they are complying to the health, safety and quality requirements as well as ensuring they are on track with the programme.
Duties include:
- Ordering plant, labour and materials
- Leading toolbox talks and site inductions
- Working with the Site Manager to raise early warnings
- Promote the highest levels of health and safety on site
- Liaise with stakeholders on public facing projects
- Ensure your work force is working effectively and efficiently
- Reading drawings with the site engineer to coordinate gangs and overcome design difficulties
- Ensure risk assessments and method statements and being adhered to
