Summary

Personal Progress Mentor - Sixth Form College

Hays Education are working in partnership with a 'Good' Sixth Form College in Leicester who are looking to recruit a Personal Progress Mentor. This is a long-term role working full time - 37 hours per week. Working hours are 8.30am - 4.30pm Monday - Thursday & 8.30am-4.00pm on Fridays.

As a Personal Progress Mentor, you will oversee the performance and progress of students. This will include supporting students in planning for and making applications to their preferred post-college progression route. You will also support, mentor and coach students in achieving their full potential via target setting and action planning. You will provide regular one to one and group support for a caseload of students to monitor attendance, performance and progress.

For this role, you will need recent and relevant work experience of working with young people in a school setting (Post 16 experience desirable but not essential). You will be able to inspire, support and challenge students where necessary. You will also have good communication and interaction skills to work well with students as a part of a team. You will have the skills and confidence to work independently, using your own initiative without direct supervision.
