Position: Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) ManagerAre you passionate about ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of employees while championing environmental sustainability and maintaining high-quality standards? Our Government service sector within Compass Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced HSEQ Manager to join our team in our government services sector reporting into our head of HSEQ for EGI.

Position Overview:As the HSEQ Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, environment, and quality programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to promote a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSEQ policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and assessments to identify hazards, assess risks, and ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, environment, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with departmental managers and supervisors to identify training needs and develop and deliver HSEQ training programs for employees.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks and prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor and analyze HSEQ performance metrics and trends, and prepare reports for management review.
  • Lead and participate in HSEQ committees and meetings, and provide guidance and support to employees on HSEQ-related matters.
  • Stay abreast of changes in HSEQ legislation, regulations, and industry trends, and recommend updates to policies and procedures as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Qualification in applied Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Professional certification(s) in health and safety, environmental management, or quality management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001) preferred.
  • Proven experience in a similar HSEQ management role
  • Strong understanding of Food hygiene, health, safety, environment, and quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
