Summary

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Physiotherapist to join our Rapid Emergency Assessment and Care Team (REACT), which is a valued and integral component of UHCW’s Emergency Medicine Group.

Our interdisciplinary way of working within A&E and Acute Medical Short Stay Units, including Frailty, aims to avoid hospital admissions for those patients attending ‘The Front Door’, whilst providing high standards of therapy, care and discharge planning.

It is an exciting time to join our service due to lots of ongoing service redesigns being implemented across Emergency Medicine. This is enabling lots of opportunities for successful candidates to be involved in service development projects whilst developing their own clinical and leadership skills.

Our team consists of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Assistant Practitioners, and we strive to celebrate our team success whilst ensuring the wellbeing of all of our team members is at the forefront of what we do. We offer regular supervisions and a team in-service training programme in order to support this alongside professional development. The successful candidates will actively contribute to this by supervising junior staff members.

Our service covers 7 days and extended hours, enabling a variety of shifts and flexible working patterns.

Applicants should be dynamic, enthusiastic and ready to work within a fast-paced environment, for which a high level of problem solving and clinical reasoning will be required.

Part time applications, fixed term contracts and internal secondment opportunities will also be considered.

Working alongside an experienced, knowledgeable and supportive team the successful candidates will have the opportunity to develop complex assessment and decision-making skills with a focus on admission avoidance and rapid discharge.
