Summary
TeacherActive is working with a well-known college in the North Cambridge area. The college has a ‘good’ OFSTED rating and boasts a 95% success rate of students that go forward into education or further studies. They work closely with 1,500 employers all over the country and abroad which adds to the many career opportunities available for learners at the college.
The college is looking for a driven Learning Support Mentor to join their service industries team. They need to be motivated and enthusiastic towards getting the best out of their learners through a detailed approach in 1:1 learning and development. They need to be able to deliver high quality support in service industry courses such as Culinary Arts, Hair, Beauty and Make-up . The Learning Support Mentor - Service Industries must be compassionate and consistent to create a warm and approachable environment for their students to feel safe and inclusive throughout their learning journey.
Successful Learning Support Mentor - Service Industries will have:
• Enjoy working across college faculties i.e. supporting students on a variety of courses
• Have recent and demonstrable experience of working with people with special education needs (desirable, but not essential)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
