Summary
The current opportunity is vital to maintaining the company's ability to successfully deliver projects with plenty of customer contact.
You will assist in organising the workforce calendar and participate in the supplier buying process to ensure the smooth running of our many projects throughout the UK.
The ideal candidate will be able to effectively coordinate various office activities and liaise with internal and external staff. They need to be comfortable answering inbound phone calls, distributing mail to employees and handling outgoing mails. They should also possess a friendly demeanour so they can effectively interact with office visitors and the company clients, whilst also issuing pre-prepared quotations and following these up on a regular basis to grow sales.
Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:
Oversee stock of office supplies
Coordinate inbound and outbound office e-mails
Taking & effectively dealing with inbound phone calls
Ordering of materials for construction projects
Typing up & issuing of quotations to clients
Project Tracking - following up on quoted projects via phone & e-mail
Communicate with clients regarding issued job quotations
Creating & issuing invoices for projects using Xero accounting system (training will be provided)
Internal support to contracts team in the smooth delivery of on site construction projects
Manage Social Media accounts
Project coordination
Taking payments
Other general office duties
Qualifications
Experience with administrative and clerical work
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Strong communication skills
Excellent organisational skills
Strong ability to multitask
Friendly and upbeat demeanour
Good attention to detail
Self motivated with a "can do" approach
Willingness to expand skills and work in line with our company's ethos
Note: We are advertising the job as temporary with part-time hours, but there is a potential for the job becoming permanent with full-time hours for any suitable candidate. Experience and performance of any successful candidate will also determine pay package we will be able to offer.
