Summary
We are working with a leading building and engineering consultancy who are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their team based in Cardiff. As a key member of their structural engineering department, you will play a crucial role in the design and execution of innovative and sustainable structural solutions for a wide range of projects.
Responsibilities for the Structural Engineer:
- Lead and manage the structural design process from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
- Perform detailed structural analysis and calculations using industry-standard software.
- Produce high-quality design drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Participate in project meetings, site visits, and client presentations as required.
Requirements for the Structural Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in structural design, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAP2000, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of relevant design codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes, British Standards).
- Chartered status with a recognized professional body (e.g., IStructE, ICE) is highly desirable.
