Are you a newly graduated veterinary surgeon looking to start your career at an independent, first opinion and referral practice or do you have some previous experience and wish to progress further? Either way we have a fabulous opportunity for you here at Purovets!

Our client is an independent practice located in a conservation area of a sea-side town on the East Coast of Lincolnshire with great access both to the sea and to the Lincolnshire Wolds and lots of opportunities for sports enthusiasts, sailing buffs, horse riders, mountain bikers and much, much more.

They are a 10 vet small animal practice including many Certificate holders in a variety of disciplines (Diagnostic Imaging (including CT), Small Animal Surgery (including advanced orthopaedics), Ophthalmology, Cardiology and Internal Medicine) all of whom are happy to help new grads to become functioning veterinary surgeons.

The practice is extremely well facilitated and offers state-of-the-art facilities including Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasound Scanning, Radiography, Medical Health Screening, Orthopaedic Surgery, Endoscopy, Dental X-Ray and Computed Tomography.

As a new graduate vet you will be supported by an experienced Vet GDP Advisor who is also a portfolio assessor for RCVS and understands the needs of new grads. There are also a team of experienced veterinary surgeons who are happy to teach techniques and advise as much and as often as needed. Alternatively, for those with previous experience and ambition who want to learn advanced veterinary techniques, without the horrible internship and residency route, our client does a great many 'specialist' procedures themselves.

This is not a one size fits all package, instead it is chosen specifically by you in consultation with your vet GDP advisor. You will have the freedom to treat your cases as your professional opinion dictates. There are no targets for either treatments or procedures as the practice believes you are doing the best for the patients and that it is veterinary professional opinion, not targets, which should drive what you do.

The Rota:
• 4 days a week
• Full time and Part Time roles available
• OOH rota for weekends and nights
• For every weekend worked you get the following Wednesday - Monday off in addition to holiday allowance

The Benefits:
• Fantastic starting salary of £37,000 for new grads and increasing with experience
• Rent free modern accommodation available
• Fully funded CPD allowance with 5 days paid CPD
• 7 weeks annual holiday including bank holidays on which you are not scheduled to work (bank holiday rota is 1:10)
• Fully funded certificate of your choice
•£10,000 pay increase after you have achieved your certificate
• Professional memberships paid (RCVS, VDS and BSAVA)
