Veterinary Surgeon - Norfolk

Purovets are looking for a well-rounded and keen small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a single site practice in Norfolk. This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours over 4 days per week from 8.30am- 7.30pm. There will be 1 in 5 Saturday mornings with half day off the previous week and no out of hours. Consults are 15 minutes long, well-spaced and with time allowed for paperwork and phone calls within the working day. Each of the 5 vets has a fixed ops day and the same day off each week to allow a predictable rota with good continuity. The clinical teams meet monthly to catch up and plan ahead.
The surgery is purpose-built with a large reception area and 4 consulting rooms. There is a dedicated theatre; a separate diagnostics room with digital radiography, dental x-ray, and ultrasound; and a large prep room with a dental area. A window in prep allows for easy viewing directly into the cattery to help with monitoring patients and the kennels and isolation suite are nearby.
The ideal candidate will enjoy consulting and working up cases and value developing good client relationships. You will have confidence in general surgery and medicine, and a willingness to continue building on these skills with support from our experienced team. You will be working with a friendly, supportive team of 5 experienced Veterinary Surgeons, 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses, a Dispenser, 4 Receptionists and a Practice Manager, many of whom have worked there for a long time. They are a close-knit bunch who genuinely care about giving each individual the best possible care from arrival to discharge. They have a great reputation locally for providing excellent care and treating their patients as if they were their own pets, and we are looking for somebody with a similar approach to join their team.
The practice is located in a village setting on the edge of Norwich. Norwich is a vibrant city with good links to both the countryside and beautiful Norfolk coastline, as well as relatively easy access to Cambridge and London.

- Salary up to £65,000 DOE
