Located in the vibrant Southend area, our client is seeking a Night Veterinary Surgeon to join their outstanding team. Experience the dynamic energy of this coastal gem nestled on the Thames estuary. Southend boasts the excitement of a bustling seaside town alongside the tranquillity of its picturesque coastline.
As a Night Veterinary Surgeon, you will be pivotal in our client's state-of-the-art clinic, delivering vital care during the twilight hours. Following your fulfilling night shifts, immerse yourself in Southend's iconic pleasure pier, delve into the cultural offerings of the Cliff's Pavilion, or simply unwind on its expansive beaches. With excellent transport links, accessing Southend is effortless, and its diverse community ensures a mosaic of experiences.
The hospital is equipped with top-of-the-range facilities, featuring two surgical suites, CT, digital X-ray, dental x-ray, general and cardiac ultrasonography equipment, and advanced ophthalmology tools for both investigation and surgery. Additionally, they offer flexible and rigid endoscopes for general medical exploration, as well as orthopaedic and soft tissue keyhole surgery capabilities.
Join an extraordinary team comprising 12 vets, with 5 holding postgraduate certificates in specialties such as Internal Medicine, Diagnostic Imaging, Ophthalmology, Surgery, Endoscopy, and keyhole surgery. Others are currently pursuing certificates in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, and Emergency and Critical Care.
Our client proudly holds accreditation from the RCVS and has achieved Gold status from the ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic, in addition to winning a recent Quality Business Award.
The ideal candidate must be RCVS registered and possess the confidence to work autonomously, demonstrating sound clinical judgment. If you're ready to elevate your veterinary career in a stimulating environment while embracing the allure of Southend, we want to hear from you.
The Rota:
• Full time role
• The shift pattern consists of 7 nights on 14 nights off, 7pm - 9am (Weekends are included in this pattern)
The Benefits:
• Excellent salary £45,000 - £55,000 per year (Pro rata)
• Annualised hours so no extra holiday
• £1,500 CPD allowance with 2 days' CPD leave and in-house CPD training
• VDS, RCVS and BVA fees paid
