Summary


The Wimborne District Nurses have a vacancy for a band 3 Community Healthcare Assistant.

We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with good communication skills and a passion for caring for patients in their own homes. Experience of clinical work in the community is desirable but training will be offered to the successful applicant. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will undertake our in house development program for extended skills which will involve insulin administration, injections and catheterisation.

Under the supervision and support from the team you will be required to visit patients in their own homes providing clinical care. Working as a HCA within the District Nursing Team, the role involves visit patients in their own homes providing clinical care, under supervision.

Access to a car with a valid driving license is essential for this role.

To undertake care, following the instructions of the team leader or
nominated deputy according to the needs of the patients as identified on
the care plan, providing evidence based, high quality, holistic nursing
care for patients in their own homes

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
