Property Inspector – Role Overview
We have two temporary property inspector positions available working on the Department for Education Schools Inspection Programme in England to undertake inspection and measurement of a broad range of secondary and special educational needs and disability (SEND) schools and to capture high quality, consistent and reliable data to support the significant programme of work within the Net Capacity Assessment (NCA).
The temporary positions are expected to last until the end of June 2025 with the possibility of a short extension.
Property Inspector – Key responsibilities
- Undertake inspection and measurement work as allocated by the Team Manager.
- Engage effectively with all stakeholders including individual schools, representing the NCA programme consistently and professionally.
- Work closely with team member on site and Technical Lead to quality assure the data captured.
- Accountable for decisions that are taken within guidelines and under the technical leadership of the Team Manager and Technical Lead.
- Capture of accurate inspection and measurement data on-site using bespoke IT hardware.
- Data quality assurance ensuring consistent and reliable data.
- Achieving key programme milestones.
