Reporting to the IT Client Server & Software Technical Team Leader, this is a senior post within the IT Services structure and critical in the delivery of effective and efficient IT Services.

Applicants will have proven experience implementing and supporting one or more of the following: Windows Servers, VMWare, &; Netapp Storage. As an Advanced Wintel Specialist, you are expected to be the subject matter expert on the Windows Servers, VMWare & Netapp Storage environments used by West Lothian Council and to provide technical leadership in these areas.

The post will work closely with other Advanced Specialist posts within the IT Service, covering specialist areas including, Unix, Security, Client and Server Management, Networks and Application Interface Development providing an excellent IT service provision to all of our customers.

These permanent roles provide an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of projects within West Lothian Council.

IT Services structure is based on ITlLv4 and you must have a solid understanding, knowledge and experience of good practice.

Training and development will be provided to ensure that the post-holder attains and maintains the technology-specific skills required of the role.
