Summary

A Vacancy at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust.


To Support the Medical Equipment Maintenance manager by providing customer support services to clinical groups throughout the Trust and to other healthcare providers and clinical engineering. To offer customer support advice to Clinical and Engineering staff.

To manage and help Clinical Equipment Support Officer, prioritise, and plan work. Deputies for Clinical Equipment Maintenance Manager during any period of absence. To propose and implement changes in work area as part of Clinical Equipment Maintenance team. To prioritise, plan and organise own work schedules adjusting for emergency work.



Provide reports and deputies for Clinical Equipment Maintenance Business Manager at Medical Device Managers and Links, Lead and Group Meetings. To monitor / prioritise reported medical devices faults using the CAFM system as reported from staff throughout the Trust and allocate accordingly. Feedback to Medical Devices Maintenance Manager. To ensure team appropriately act on technical requests from clinical departments.

Arrange and schedule delegated maintenance tasks with customer departments. Where necessary, negotiate/liaise with clinical staff over availability of equipment or access to clinical areas for purposes of equipment service, repair or calibration. Frequently visit sites to carry out medical device audits throughout the Trust. Checking for correct location and information for each device, update the Medical Devices Database accordingly.
