Salary: £11.44 - £11.60 Per hour
Job Description:
As a Logistics Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the movements of goods both internally and externally.
Job Duties:
• Manage the movement of goods internally and externally
• Maintain the pallet area in an organised manner (both indoors and outdoors)
• Operate a FLT Reach Truck to handle goods efficiently
• Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles
• Ensure accurate record-keeping of all incoming and outgoing goods
• Outbound deliveries - loading orders onto trucks using forklift or handball onto the van
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
• Valid FLT Reach Truck licence
• Previous experience in a logistics or warehouse environment
No specific educational requirements are needed, but a good level of literacy and numeracy is advantageous.
Experience:At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within the logistics or warehouse industry would be advantagous
Knowledge and Skills:
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Additional forklift or warehouse-related certifications
• Experience with inventory management systems
This role will involve working in a warehouse environment with exposure to various weather conditions. You may be required to work Monday to Thursday 07.30-16.30 and Friday 07.30-12.30
