Summary
The Senior Occupational Therapist works with the Discovery programme female and male service users, primarily in the community, to develop occupational therapy formulations and provide occupational therapy intervention. The Occupational Therapist in collaboration with Psychology, Offender Manager and Housing colleagues contributes to the overall psychological and risk formulations of service users. The Occupational Therapist promotes knowledge and understanding of the occupational perspective of health and contributes this understanding in service forums towards the aims of the Offender Personality Disorder Pathway of increasing public safety by reducing risk and promoting the well-being of service users. During this fixed term there may also be the opportunity to spend some time working into the regional PIPEs (Psychologically Informed Planned Environments) alongside fellow Discovery Occupational Therapists.
