Summary

Are you an experienced domestic plasterer / tiler looking for your next contract role? We have a position where you will be responsible for carrying out plastering and tiling duties within domestic properties owned or managed by a local authority in the South Shields area. This role involves working to ensure the completion of both plastering and tiling tasks to a high standard, contributing to the overall maintenance and improvement of our housing stock.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute plastering tasks efficiently and effectively in domestic properties.
  • Prepare surfaces for plastering, including patching, sanding, and priming.
  • Apply plaster coats using appropriate techniques to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Repair damaged or deteriorated plaster as necessary.
  • Performing small tiling jobs, mainly within kitchens and bathrooms.
  • Work in accordance with health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and residents when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a plasterer, with a strong understanding of domestic plastering techniques.
  • CSCS card with NVQ level 2 in plastering.
  • Asbestos awareness.
  • Face fit.
  • Working at heights.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
