Summary

Not-for-profit organisation Groundwork South have a unique role opportunity for someone to join as Senior Project Officer to lead and deliver lead environmentally impactful community/ youth led focused projects across Torbay and wider Devon area.
This is a multidisciplinary role required to co-ordinate and deliver bespoke programmes focused on school and delivery youth, including social action (National citizenship service – NCS), education, open space co-design, food growing and conservation activities.
This role will involve working with a range of partner and community group organisations to enable the development and delivery of the range of programmes.
The Blue Influencers Scheme assisting young people (10–14-year-olds) living in coastal, river and estuarine communities, to create deep, lasting and meaningful connections with the natural environment and embed a culture where youth social action becomes the norm.
NCS ‘Open to All and Targeted’ Community Experiences
Groundwork South will be providing young people (aged 16-17 Years old) with year-round activities. These will be close to home and provide choice and flexibility to engage with up to 3 x 16-Hour Community Experiences. Each experience is designed to be fun and engaging and provide a breadth of learning and development opportunities. One of our key priorities is to increase the provision of our offer to underserved young people and learn more about what works for these groups.

developing life skills and supporting independent living;
building employability and work-readiness;
providing opportunities for volunteering and social action; and
enabling social mixing of young people from all backgrounds.
