Summary
Electrical Engineer – Fire Alarms | To cover East Anglia and the Midlands | Remote based working | 8am – 5pm, 5 days a week + optional overtime available | Up to £40,000+pa DOE
Our client has been safeguarding businesses, schools, hospitals, prisons and farms from the menace of fire for almost 50 years. Established in 1975, they are a Peterborough based family-run business that prides itself on honest and reliable Fire Safety Equipment Supply, Maintenance and Training.
All of their Technicians and Experts are approved and accredited by all the necessary bodies: BAFE, CHAS, BFC, ECA and more. They cover a wide area, working throughout Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and all the surrounding areas.
Due to continued success, they are looking to recruit a Fire Alarm Engineer to join their team. The office is based in Peterborough and work will be carried out throughout East Anglia and the Midlands, however, the ideal candidate will not need to visit the office every day and can be trusted to work remotely.

Are you the right person for us?
• Electrical qualifications – Level 3 City and Guilds or time served would be beneficial
• Relevant working experience would be beneficial
• Experience in Fire Alarms is not essential but would be beneficial
• Able to service a variety of fire systems would be beneficial
• Able to install wired & wireless fire alarm systems would be beneficial
• You must be able to work independently, use your own initiative and be comfortable working as part of a team
• Located within a 45-minute radius of Peterborough
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential
What will your role as a Fire Alarm Engineer look like?
• You will service and install wired and wireless fire alarm systems
• Service and install emergency lighting systems
• Project a high level of quality customer services at all times
• Ensure that the relevant documentation is fully completed in an accurate and timely manner
• Engineers may need to collect equipment for jobs from the office from time to time
• On call rota duties
