Summary
Join the MAPS Logistics team as Fleet Manager and become the driving force behind our company's success. You'll oversee the entire fleet of cars and vans owned, leased, and rented, ensuring our vehicles are safe, reliable, and cost-effective. Aligning fleet strategy with our business growth to meet current and future demands.
Responsibilities:
As an experienced Fleet Manager, you will develop and lead both the operational and strategic direction of our fleet:
* Ensuring the fleet meets safety regulations, keeping vehicles and drivers safe and compliant.
* Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program to minimise downtime and extend the life of the fleet.
* Optimise fleet lifecycle through strategic asset disposal & replacement.
* Manage and prepare fleet budget, including forecasting expenses and monitoring variances.
* Oversee fleet insurance. Liaising with our insurance provider. Ensuring claims are managed effectively and losses are minimised.
* Act as an escalation point for all fleet-related queries.
* Minimise downtime through maintenance schedules & garage communication.
* Manage budgets, monitor fuel usage & propose cost-saving strategies.
* Drive continuous improvement & implement best practices.
* Build relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.

Requirements:
* Hold a valid UK Manual Driving Licence
* A good understanding of vehicles
* A good understanding of building maintenance
* Be proficient and have experience in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
