Summary

Your new company
A well established brand with high quality, award-winning products and international sales generating turnover of around £40m. They have strong core values and a long-term mentality, allowing them to make the right decisions for their customers, suppliers and staff.

Your new role
This is a key position, and will play a significant part in the ongoing development of the business. It is an opportunity to take on an underdeveloped Demand Forecasting function, design and implement the necessary changes, and help the business to realise the benefits of improved forecasting and supply chain performance. These changes are fully supported at board level, so if you are looking to make an impact, and to chalk up some large professional wins, this job could be the right one for you.

What you'll need to succeed
You have a proven ability to own and improve Demand Forecasting within an FMCG or Food business. This role is both strategic and hands on (initially with no direct reports), you will assess current practices, identify opportunities for improvements, and deliver the changes. You will work closely with Sales / Account Managers to understand the forecasts that come in from Retail customers, and work to drive increased forecast accuracy across all channels and skus. You will have very strong analytical and planning skills, and the ability to turn data into decisions.
You will have experience of one or more recognised Demand Forecasting tools, as well as strong Excel skills, and be able to advise on technology investments that will support the evolution of the business. The company already has an established ERP system and PowerBI, but there is an opportunity to bring in new software to enhance these existing tools if the role holder feels there is an advantage in doing so.
You will enjoy owning and controlling the planning cycle, and be familiar with using historical data, market trends, inputs from sales and marketing, to refine and deliver the forecast.
Highly collaborative by nature, you will be looking for an opportunity to make your mark on an already successful business.

What you'll get in return
Competitive salary circa £50k but with some flexibility, plus bonus and excellent benefits. Significant opportunities for ongoing career progression. Please note this is currently an onsite position, 5 days a week. If you are looking for hybrid working, please still apply and I will provide more information regarding how this may evolve.
