Summary

Would you love the chance to support and build relationships with disadvantaged individuals to become socially included by supporting them to move towards training, education and/or employment? Do you have experience of working with individuals who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), have Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) status or are economically inactive / unemployed?

We’re recruiting a Community Coach who is able to provide expert advisory services to participants, with the overall objective of facilitating their access to, development within, and sustainability in education, training, or employment.

You’ll working closely with, and offering comprehensive support to participants, assisting them in identifying and surmounting the unique obstacles they face in achieving gainful employment. Creating individualised support packages designed to equip them with the requisite skills and confidence to secure and maintain employment. This is achieved through the implementation of SMART action plans and IWS Action plans.

Our delivery approach will focus on; mentoring/coaching, the creation of Magna Vitae’s, stress coping strategies, travel training, financial wellbeing, job searching, work placements, enterprise showcases and other support as needed.

Hours: 37 hours a week. Monday to Thursday 8.30 am to 5pm, Friday 8.30 am to 4.30pm

Key Responsibilities


Likely to focus on the following areas: Throughout Cornwall
Meet personal performance targets, Key Performance Indicators and all Quality and Compliance measures.
Offer specialist advice and support to individuals, actively addressing barriers, to overcome NEET status.
Manage a specialist caseload of customers using a variety of coaching strategies to help customers overcome barriers to obtaining sustainable employment.


Skills and Experience


Essential

Experience working with people who have a Learning disability or difficulty
High level of digital literacy skills, including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and web-based communication technologies
Experience or ability to cold call and close agreements with employers/training providers
Experience of working with people with multiple and complex needs, including health conditions and disabilities
Experience of securing employment opportunities for a wide range of individuals

Desirable

Level 3 Award in Employability Services Sector or equivalent
Member of IEP
