Summary
We are currently working with an SEMH Alternative Provision in Harrogate, North Yorkshire who are looking to recruit Graduate Teaching Assistants to support pupils (Ages 11-16) with Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs, who have been excluded from mainstream schools.
The role is full-time working Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:00 and you will be required to support Class Teachers, this will be in full class settings, as well as 1:1 with individual students.
Responsibilities:
Support students with challenging behaviour
Build positive and progressive relationship with students and staff
Support students with their studies and wellbeing
Restrain students when and were appropriate using correct guidelines and following full training
You will need:
Patience and a very understanding nature
Resilience and high levels of enthusiasm
Ability to remain positive
Experience of supporting young adults
