Summary

We are currently looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant for a mainstream Primary School in Sheffield.

They need multiple experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to work within EYFS, KS1, & KS2, supporting both the full classes and small groups at different points of the week.

You will support both the class teachers in full class/small group work and one to one support.

Responsibilities:
- Able to adapt to the needs of the child in lessons and assist them in their school day.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage the children to stay on task.
- Clarify and explain any questions or instructions given to the pupil.
- Support the class teacher with any additional duties.

Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification - CACHE, NCFE, Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
- Recent experience in a school in the UK and working with people with learning difficulties is essential.
- Experience in a SEN education setting is ideal.
- Team Teach training is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to build a strong, professional rapport with children and staff.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to carry one out.
