Summary
This is a full-time role within the firm (to be made permanent after a successful 3 month probationary period). Providing the individual, the opportunity to develop the skills and qualifications for the role of Insurance Broker. To reach this level the applicant must also be prepared to study for the relevant insurance qualifications to obtain CERT CII status
In-house training will be provided for the daily tasks required to ensure the applicant can meet his/her duties and responsibilities and is able to carry them out in a confident and competent manner, whilst operating within the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA’s) guidelines together with the firm’s compliance and money laundering procedures.
Although previous experience in the insurance industry will be taken into consideration it is not a necessary requirement and not our primary consideration.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
• Answering telephone and either dealing with request/query or redirecting calls as appropriate
• Use the filing system to review files and deal with incoming mail
• Collecting accurate information and documents to proceed with Policies.
• Monitoring the progress of a renewal
• Building relationships with underwriters
• Ensuring the customer is treated fairly and that the customer receives excellent service in accordance with industry and company guidelines.
• Operate within the FCA guidelines.
• Operate within the firm’s compliance and money laundering procedures
• Be able to prioritise effectively within time constraints
Skills Required:
• Must be computer literate
• A minimum of English Language and Maths GCSE grade C or above
• Good telephone manner
• Be able to work within a team environment
• Good communication skills
• Understanding of percentage calculations
• Be prepared to study for CERT CII qualification
