Summary
About The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Security Officer to join our based at our client's site in 9 Haymarket Square, Edinburgh. This is a new building, part of a wider development where you'll work within a site based management team, managed by our client CBRE. You will ensure the safety and security of the employees, visitors, and client's property on the estate, by maintaining a good corporate image and high standards of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor site CCTV and be fully conversant with the CCTV monitoring and recording system on-site and follow up on any alarms that may occur.
- Check emails and respond as required.
- Internal patrols utilising the electronic patrol system, in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
- Reporting building services and fabric defects.
- To show a professional security presence throughout the estate.
- Customer Service is paramount. Greet visitors with excellent customer service while following security procedures.
- Maintain an accurate record of the electronic daily occurrence book, ensuring that all events are logged correctly.
- To fulfil health and safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the company's Health & Safety policy and Health & Safety Management plans.
To succeed in this role you will need the following:
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
- Have a good understanding of the Assignment Instructions.
- SIA licensed essential.
- Computer literate.
- IT literate and familiar with modern management systems
- Able to interact at all levels from visitors to senior management.
- First Aid training is an advantage.
